Toolbox Talks are IAM RoadSmart’s interactive, virtual classroom training sessions. Ideal for groups of 3-12 participants, a Toolbox Talk is a 60 minute session designed to target and boost your drivers’ ability in specific areas, like speed awareness, fatigue, vehicle checks, and more.
Toolbox Talks aim to have real impact with participants: avoiding the dreaded death by PowerPoint that many of us are now only too familiar with. In a Toolbox Talk, your instructor will encourage active participation – asking direct questions, encouraging discussion, and creating an energised atmosphere for the session, so that participants come away feeling positive, and with a lasting memory of the new skills they’ve learned.
Of particular recent interest to new customers is the concept of using Toolbox Talks in tandem with CHOICES – our online fleet risk management portal. CHOICES provides a list of higher risk drivers, for whom additional training would be especially beneficial. Then, rather than putting your entire fleet through Toolbox Talks, you can target only the drivers who need it most.
